A new head of SDPT was chosen in Sogdy oblast

On July 3 in Sogdy oblast branch of Social and Democratic Party of Tajikistan (SDPT) a conference of party members took place.

At conference socio-political situation in the country, report of oblast branch of SDPT and present-day issues were discussed.

First matter, political situation in the country, was informed to party members by SDPT chairman Rahmatillo Zoyirov. As he stated “recent events happing in the country has shown the state standing on the verge of public indignation as Government displayed its inconsistency and disability to take control over processes and last collisions in Garmsk and Kulyabs regions, meeting in Badahshan oblast confirm fragile stability in the country”.

He also mentioned that “the political council of SDPT has always supported peaceful solution of any conflicts and against violent upheaval in the country. Moreover SDPT was and remains as a supporter of supremacy of Constitution and the Law” – emphasized he.

Then report on activity of board of Sogdy regional branch SDPT was condemned. Under the decision of conference members, acting head of SDPT of Sogdy oblast Mamadjan Abdulloev was dismissed from his post, and a new head of the SDPT Oblast Branch was chosen Dilbar Samadova, who is also a vice chairman of SDPT in North Tajikistan .

In Board of SDPT staff a chairman of Youth Department in Sogdy oblast Ayubdjon Egamov and chairwoman of Women's Department of SDPT in Sogdy oblast Mashkhura Ismatdjonova were accepted.

We remind that SDPT was registered in December 2002. General members of the SDPT are representatives of middle class – lawyers, journalists, political scientists and businessmen and their number is more than 12 thousand persons.
