Inferior courts in Kyrgyzstan are not obliged to follow Supreme Court in judiciary

The President of KR Kurmanbek Bakiev signed Law “About introducing amendments and additions to the Law on Supreme Court of Kyrgyz Republic and local courts”.

According to the President's press-service the signed Law has following changes and additions:

- Judicial amenability to law for inadequate control over executing trials is made;

- Changes in the staff and structure of the Supreme Court, according to text of the Law corresponding amendments are being introduced;

- The responsibility for plenum explanation of inferior courts on judiciary is excluded;

- Changes in plenum quorum of the Supreme Court are made;

- Changes in establishment issues of number of judges and activity of Supreme Court apparatus and local courts are provided.
