Kyrgyzstan MP been suggested to expand Public Prosecutors' powers

The President of KR asks the parliament deputies to examine bill on which investigatory bodies should take the permission from Office of Public Prosecutor at all stages of inquest.

As “24.kg” reports, on June 23 committees on Defense, Safety, Law and judicial-legal reforms of Jogorku Kenesh (the Parliament) KR at Leila Sydykova deputy chairmanship considered the bill on changes made in criminal-remedial code.

The agency gives words of general public prosecutor KR Elmurza Satybaldiev who explains, that according to an innovation the supervising body gets more responsibilities. “But on the other hand investigations will be held within law, all put procedures will be observed, after all now inspectors make independent decisions, up to transferring the case to the court, and the public prosecutor cannot interfere the process”, - said public prosecutor KR.

“In conclusion the President plenipotentiary in Jogorku Kenesh Kambaraly Kongantiev addressed to deputies with the request to consider the given bill in a special order, before leaving on summer vacations”, - marks agency.
